In the collection of ‘Dokdo on old maps’, we’ve looked at how Dokdo was drawn and marked on old maps, which are different depending on the range of region which produce old maps and the times of production. For example, Dokdo was confirmed on the world map, a complete map of Joseon, a map of all the provinces, (produced by Gangwon-do), a map of Goeul, (produced by Ulleung-do, Usan-do (produced by Dokdo), and 《Cheonggu-do》, a first national map by Jeongho Kim. Last, an old Japanese map made in Japan, which marked Dokdo (Usan-do) as Joseon territory, was introduced.
