National Library of Korea parking lot can be used by ‘those who reserve in advance to use the library’

  • Parking lot opening hours
    • Weekdays (Mon~Fri) / weekend : 08:00~19:00 (cars can not enter/exit after opening hours)
    • Every Wednesday : 08:00~21:00
    • Public holidays, regular closure days (every 2 nd , 4 th Mondays) : closed
  • Parking capacity : 374 cars (217 underground, 157 above ground)
    • Underground : 217 cars (B2 :36 cars, B3 : 69 cars, B4 : 38, B5 : 74)
    • Above ground : 157 cars
  • Use of public electronic car charging station
    • Where : parking area in front of the Material Preservation Center (parking/waiting at parking area in front of the charging station is not allowed)
    • Charging equipment : 2 50 KW high-speed battery chargers
    • Opening hours : library parking lot opening hours

Parking fee is automatically charged by the electronic parking control system.

When the parking lot is full on weekdays from 11:00 to 15:00, entrance and exit of cars is restricted.

If odd-even system of traffic rules etc. is implemented following to cut down on fine dust in the metropolitan area etc., the car can be restricted from entering and existing

  • Application requirements : among regular library pass holders, those whose library use record for the previous month meet all requirements 1, 2 and 3(by order of arrival every month)
    • 1. 10 or more days of entering/exiting the main building or digital library (only when you pass the entrance/exit gate with library card the use is reflected)
    • 2. 10 or more books borrowed or 10 or more use records of the digital library(book borrowing : when borrowing book(s) using material use machine in a resource room, you need to select ‘borrow/return in the library’ when borrowing/returning to have it recognized as use record. Digital library : record of using after reserving a seat Those who can apply : 10 or more books borrowed or 10 or more use records of the digital library Those who cannot apply : 9 books borrowed + 1 digital library use record
    • 3. 35 hours or more library use hours (time calculated from when you enter the entrance gate using your library card to when you exit. If you leave the library and come back, the time you were outside is excluded)
  • Use period : from the 1 st of next month to the end of the month

How to use regular parking pass : ex) use the library(Sept 1 ~ Sept 30) -> those who meet requirement apply for regular parking(October 10) -> use regular parking(November)

Check whether or not you meet the regular parking application requirement at the library website after logging in (from the 3 rd every month)

  • Library use record for February that meets requirement to apply for regular parking pass for April in March Adjusted to 5 days of entering/exiting the library, 5 books borrowed or using the digital library 5 times, 20 hours spent in the library
  • (regular parking pass for March applied for in February is carried over to use in April. Those who have not paid parking fee shall pay when the library opens)
  • (for regular parking pass for April applied for in March, those who completed applying shall pay the parking fee when the library opens)
  • (as the library was closed in March, regular parking for May is not provided)
