National Library of Korea (NLK) launch brand new services, RINK(Research Information services, National Library of Korea) to support academic research activities using national collections and enable researchers in specialized fields to focus on research activities.

    • 20 Books at a time for up to 60 days
    • Rare Books, Old Books, etc.
  • Using the Online Resources
    • Original texts such domestic and overseas academic databases
    • Overseas academic e-books
  • Various Research Spaces
    • Carrel(Reserved), Open Spaces(Non-reserved)
    • Lockers for personal belongings
  • Seminar Room
    • Research Lounge, Collaboration Spaces etc.
    • Available for 2-30 people
    • Wireless Collaboration System, etc.

Support for Projects 1. National R&D A person or team member who performs national R & D projects using library collections.
2. A Academi Book A person who holds doctoral degree and has registered one or more academic papers in KCI and SCI or equivalent journal within the last 10 years or has written more than one academic books A person who intends to write a academic book using a library collection
3. A Journal Article A person who has a master's degree and registered one or more academic papers in KCI and SCI or equivalent journal within the last 10 years or has written more than one academic book A person who intends to submit a journal paper using a library collection
4. Research Materials Search A person who intends to investigate the research materials for a short period of time (within 3 weeks) using a library collection
5. A Doctoral thesis A person who has a master's degree A person who intends to write a doctoral dissertation using a library collection
Support for Researchers 6. Overseas Researcher A person who has a master's degree A person who belongs to an overseas research institute wants to conduct research using a library collection or a person who has been recommended by a librarian
7. Post-Doctoral Fellow A person who has a master's degree and registered one or more academic papers in KCI and SCI or equivalent journal within the last 10 years or has written more than one academic book A person who belongs to an research institute wants to conduct research using a library collection
8. Research Fellow(that is a researcher who works for limited-term appoinment in an academic institution)

※ You must sign in the signature box when submitting the documents

  • Approval : E-mail notification of approval within 3 business days after receipt of application
  • Orientation
    • Every Tuesday and Thursday 10 am
    • Services available after attending the orientation within two weeks of receiving the approval email
  • Use Period : 1 year from service start date and extend for up to 6 months
    (Research Materials Search program can be used for 3 weeks from service start date)
  • Using the Research Spaces
    • Carrel for 1 person(Reserved) : Must use more than 10 times a month
    • Open Spaces(Non-Reserved) : Must use more than 30 times a year
  • Research Results : Restricted application for other programs when not submitted
Seminar Room
  • Meetings of academic societies, associations, research teams, etc. or for small and medium academic events (available for 1-10 people)
  • Program support for researchers using research information services
