Prize-Winners of Korean Children’s Literature
The Korean children’s literature history shows it has enjoyed a wide variety of literary awards. Many of the awards select and award some literary works annually, and they are treated as part of important assets that display trends in the Korean children’s literature and lists major authors in the field. The literary awards below, which named after the deceased literary figures, are a collection of literary works popular with both readers and literary critics. The literary awards listed below were those which were created by the family of the deceased literary figures and are still available. The first archives consist of all of the children’s literary awards and part of the prize-winners. More of the Korean children’s literary awards will be introduced and literary works that were never recognized will also be presented in consecutive order. The interpretation of each literary work’s literary achievement was based upon the critiques and research of the time which, however, is confined to the children’s literature critics’ perspectives.
