National Library of Korea Holds Skill-Building Lecture for Library Professionals
On Friday, May 30, the National Library of Korea held the Skill-Building Lecture for Library Professionals at its International Conference Hall under the theme "Librarians in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Finding the Way Forward."
About 130 library staff members from across the country attended the lecture to discuss the changing roles of libraries and future development directions in the era of artificial intelligence.
The event featured three speakers:
Professor Kim Sang-kyun from Kyung Hee University’s Graduate School of Business delivered a lecture on the theme “Reading Cutting-edge Technology”
Professor Park Jin-ho from Hansung University’s Knowledge, Information, and Culture Track spoke on “Libraries: Building Innovation on Tradition.”
Professor Kim Kyu-hwan from Incheon University’s Department of Library and Information Science presented “The Light and Shadows of Technological Advancement, and the Role of Librarians.”
